A Contemplative Encounter with the Psalms

What is contemplation? How do we learn to do it?

There's no secret. Contemplation is not mystical or reserved for a special class of spiritually elite. Contemplation is simply, as Walter Burghardt said, taking a "long loving look at the real." Learning to contemplate God is as simple as learning to "gaze" at him for sustained period of time.

This free, digital download is designed to teach you how to train your gaze on God through his word in the Psalms. Rather then merely telling you how to do it, however, this book uniquely helps you learn by doing.

We've carefully selected seven beautiful psalms and paired them with high resolution original art that will capture your attention and facilitate moments of contemplation that transcend mere analysis. Each piece of art was generously donated by the artist who created it specifically to aid your prayers.
