The most important work is always love!
As a spiritual director I resonate with the Benedictine principle of hospitality: “to welcome everyone as I would Christ.” I love to create spaces that are free of shame and open to possibility. My desire is to help you experience God as a real person who is secure, loving, and present; to help you discern God's invitations, corrections, and challenges; and to support you as you take the "leaps of faith" he may ask of you. Spiritual direction means having a hiking buddy on your journey with, and into, God.
I deeply value compassion, forgiveness, truth, and grace, and deeply believe in God's real and physical interaction with the world through scripture, sacrament, and the church community.
I grew up in Colorado and love to live in the tension of paradox. I’m a father of five, a historical theology nerd, a ministry leadership veteran, a family trauma survivor, and a recovering anxiety addict. I welcome directees of all kinds and from all walks of life.
